Privacy Policy

BookIt is a brand of QBLOCK AI LLC, which operates bookit.salon. We help you find independent barbers and book a chair. This policy describes the information we handle when you use the site.

Depending on how you use BookIt, we may collect:

• Mobile number, and a name if you give us one, to sign in and complete a booking.
• Whether you opted in to promotional texts from BookIt about barbers and shops on the marketplace.
• Booking details: the barber, service, time, and any note you send them. We share these with that barber so they can take you.
• Account extras you choose to save, such as favorite shops and reviews tied to a visit.
• Technical data needed to run the site: a session cookie, your approximate network address for abuse limits, and device-local preferences such as the last city you searched.

We do not ask for a password, and we do not run advertising or analytics cookies.

We use this information to:

• Create and keep your session so you can sign in, book, and see your appointments.
• Send a one-time code to your phone when we need to verify it.
• Send booking confirmations and reminders before your appointment.
• If you opt in to offers, send promotional texts about barbers and shops on BookIt.
• Place the booking with the barber you chose and show it back to you.
• Protect the service from spam and abuse.

When you give us your number you see two separate checkboxes. Neither is pre-checked.

Service texts (required to book): sign-in codes, booking confirmations, and appointment reminders. Typically fewer than five messages a month.

Offer texts (optional): if you check the second box, BookIt may text you promotions, discounts, and news about barbers and shops on BookIt. Typically a few extra messages a month. You can skip this box and still book.

Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out of BookIt texts. We do not share your mobile number or your SMS opt-in (for service texts or offer texts) with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. BookIt may send you offer texts itself if you opted in. Checking the service-texts box is required to book. Offer texts are not required to book.

When you book, the barber you selected and the booking provider we use to hold the chair receive what they need for that appointment (typically your name, phone, service, time, and note). That is operational, not marketing.

We do not sell your information. We do not share mobile information or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect people from serious harm.

BookIt sets a small number of first-party, essential cookies (HttpOnly where we can) so we can keep you signed in, remember this browser’s bookings, and verify your phone. Your browser also stores a record that you saw the cookie notice, local search preferences, and, if you choose the offers box, a local record of that choice until we can keep it on your account. None of these are used to track you across other sites.

Session cookies last up to a year if you keep using the site. Phone-verification tokens last about 30 days. Appointment records stay so you can see and manage them, and so the barber has a record of the visit. You can sign out to clear the signed-in session on this browser.

You can update your name and phone in your account, cancel an appointment within the window shown at booking, and stop using the site. Reply STOP to leave BookIt texts, including service texts and offers. Browser controls can block cookies; without them, sign-in and booking will not work.

BookIt is for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
